fleuve et rivière is an innovative cultural product which was launched in 2004
in the Centre-du-Québec
region. If you are on the lookout for a tourist experience
that is both entertaining and rewarding, our activities
will more than likely fill the bill.

Strolls with Louis Fréchette
Let yourself wander through
bygone times with one of our two tours. Choose to
be accompanied by an enthusiastic guide who will
show you the town by evoking its history and point
out the main points of interest. It’s a classic!

Add a touch of the fantastic and « live »
Nicolet accompanied by one of its historical people,
Louis Fréchette (1839-1908). Mister Fréchette
was a writer of note who studied at Nicolet’s
Seminary and lived in town for many years. He will
fill you in on the past through stories and songs
and during the tour, he will point out buildings
of historical heritage, tourist attractions, cultural
sites and nature areas.

With this in mind, our guided tours touch on several subjects which may have some bearing on your course content, specifically history, geography, the arts, tourism and religious heritage. Combine your tour with one or several attractions related to your particular theme and you'll end up with an outing that is both fun and rewarding. Please contact us for more details.

Other discoveries with Mr. Fréchette
If you wish to round out your Entre Fleuve et Rivière Historical Tour by adding it to a tour of other attractions, in and around Nicolet, our guide will be happy to accompany you on your journey.
Among the attractions still waiting to be discovered: museums, interpretation centers, art galleries, a reservation and a Native Peoples' museum, agro-tourism, parks and nature conservatories.
A Gourmet Stop, at the Galoto Bakery, is also available. It includes an assortment of home-made pastries accompanied by a beverage of choice.
