activities, at the same time, showcasing the historical,
cultural, architectural and natural heritage of
our milieu. |

More than simply being an overview of what
the city has to offer, Entre
fleuve et rivière aspires
to become a driving force in local and regional development.
Through this project, we hope not only to increase the number
of visitors in local establishments but also augment the inherent
economic spin-off. By the same token, we wish to foster greater
harmony and partnerships among local interests from all sectors.
Taking inspiration from Nicolet's Cultural Development Corporation,
from the Cultural Policy of the Nicolet-Yamaska MRC
and the Local Development Plan for the City of Nicolet,
our objectives are also found within the framework of Quebec's
Youth Policy. In fact, Entre fleuve
et rivière has given
itself an educational mandate of informing local youngters about
the rich environment in which they live.
While these plans for development
were crystallizing, the setting up of the project called upon
entrepreneurship capabilities by the creation and maintenance
of various job positions. By unifying a range of conditions,
Entre fleuve et rivière
hopes to become a new means of putting the city in the limelight,
while at the same time contributing to its cultural diversity
and the feeling of belonging among its residents.
